I'm Vanessa, a product designer who's passionate about coaching and contributing to high-performing design teams.

I’m a Product Designer with more than 10 years of experience prototyping, usability testing, collaborating cross-functionally, and facilitating design thinking workshops for education, finance, and healthcare clients and companies. My experience designing for dynamic and tightly regulated industries combined with my business degree helps me to consider business needs while solving real problems for everyday people.

Most recently, I've led a design team at Flatiron Health where we've focused on accelerating cancer research by building products and services that make it possible to learn from the experience of every person with cancer. 

Before that, I led a cross-functional product design team at Fjord in simplifying the experience of learning about, borrowing, and repaying federal student loans. Through the launch and continuous improvement of StudentAid.gov and tools like the Loan Simulator, we made it possible for borrowers and their families to find information in a single location and develop critical financial literacy.
